Renewable Energy:
The Power of the future
For centuries, we have been heavily dependent on nonrenewable and pollution-causing fuels for energy production like gas, coal, oil, and even nuclear power. These have all been known as huge contributors to climate change due to the sheer amount of pollution and carbon emissions they produce during production. The rapid increase in pollution caused by the huge demand of nonrenewable energy production along with recent developments in clean energy has resulted in a worldwide movement focused on saving the earth and applying eco-friendly systems to everyday life.
Renewable energy usage and production normalisation, being one of the most lobbied means of countering climate change. Electricity from renewable sources is expected to experience the largest growth of up to 21.66 trillion kilowatt hours in 2050, from almost 7 trillion kilowatt hours in 2018. In support of this worldwide movement, IPGDC heavily lobbies for the use of eco-friendly and affordable energy.
